Prizes

The European School Music Prize is awarded in six categories and endowed with a total prize money of 21,000 EUR.

The prize money is divided among the categories as follows: 

DIVISION I 
- Musical work in the classroom -

CATEGORY 1 
Musical work in the classroom, classes 1–4 
Prize money: 4,000 EUR

CATEGORY 2 
Musical work in the classroom, classes 5–12 
Prize money: 4,000 EUR

CATEGORY 3 
Musical work in the classroom: Special schools for children with learning difficulties 
Prize money: 4,000 EUR

DIVISION II 
- Musical work in study groups/extracurricular activities -

CATEGORY 1 
Musical work in study groups/extracurricular activities, classes 1–4 
Prize money: 3,000 EUR

CATEGORY 2 
Musical work in study groups/extracurricular activities, classes 5–12 
Prize money: 3,000 EUR

CATEGORY 3 
Musical work in study groups/extracurricular activities: Special schools for children with learning difficulties 
Prize money: 3,000 EUR

Special prizes may be additionally awarded.

The European School Music Prize is awarded within the Musikmesse Frankfurt.
