The European School Music Prize

„Spotlight on Music Instruction in Schools“ is the slogan of the European School Music Prize (ESP), brought into being in 2010 by the association of the musical instrument and music equipment industry, SOMM – Society Of Music Merchants e.V.

The SOMM yearly awards the prize for special educational accomplishments, as well as school and teacher projects in the music area which deserve to receive support. The European School Music Prize is currently open to all schools from Germany and other German-speaking countries, but is increasingly oriented towards the whole of Europe. The prize is supported by Musikmesse Frankfurt.
